We hit up International Motor Cars in Calgary who are the only authorized dealer in Western Canada for Campagna. The T-Rex is an amazing piece of engineering and walks away from the competition *cough* the slingshot *cough*
APEX stopped by the Luxury Auto Collection in Scottsdale, Arizona and took a look at the brand new Lamborghini Aventador SVJ. Lamborghini really pulled out all the stops for it's track focused flagship car.
What happens when you strap a supercharger and a magnaflow exhaust on a F150 with a V8? Is it fast? Is it loud?
I now have the answers to these questions you never asked.
The Boss F150 is the brainchild of tuner shop Dale Adams here in Calgary. They specialize in turning your current vehicle into a better looking, faster monster. They will even turn your current GT Mustang into a Shelby (or super snake) with all the dressings to go along.
The BOSS, like the original F150, is still a truck. It can still get you to your work site and help your friend move on the weekend. The only difference that I could tell is it will do all of these things much, much faster. When you put your foot hard down, you're greeted with the sweet sound of a Whi...
The auto culture is defined by the stereotypes that surrounds each brand. For each dodge there’s an owner bashing a Ford. For every Honda, there’s a kid screaming VTEC out his window. Subaru has always been defined by the rally pedigree it has gained over the last few decades. Unfortunately, the prestige of owning a road going rally car has gone up in a cloud of vape.
First impressions of the new WRX were not what I had expected. I haven’t spent a lot of time around Subaru’s and the lack of refinement surprised me. The interior seemed to rattle in surround sound, the touch screen was a nightmare to use and everything felt outdated. The seats were not as comfortable or form fitting as many o...
Since the dawn of time, Lincoln, Buick and Cadillac have been competing for who can make a car that appeals to old people the most.
I have always had a biased opinion towards Cadillac because my grandfather always drove them, it was really the only brand I knew. Recently, however, I was able to get my hands on a brand new 2017 Lincoln Continental and it seems the old man has traded in his orthopedics for a pair of Nike’s.
After a 15 year hiatus from the Lincoln line, Lincoln reintroduced the Continental in the fall of 2016 for the 2017 year. For the new model, Lincoln developed a new 3.0L twin turbocharged V6 that produces 400 HP with an equal 400 lb.-ft. of torque. This means that this 4,224lb sedan can go 0 – 60 in 5.3 seconds.
The hot hatch. If you were to ask me, the greatest segment in the car industry. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some super-fast, super expensive Mclaren and Lamborghini content
… but there’s something special about a quick, practical, fun to drive hot hatch back. And the RS is one of the best on the planet.
This is the first RS badged Focus that we’ve had the pleasure of seeing on our side of the pond, but certainly not the first one in existence. The MK1 (2002-2003), and the MK2 (2009-2011) were both available in Europe, and were massive hits. Especially the MK2, sporting 300hp and 324lbs ft from it’s awesome 2.5 litre inline-five.
The MK3 (2016-2018) hit the scene by storm, with some impressive numbers; 350hp, 350lbs ft, and sprinti...
In the world of pick ups, it’s getting harder and harder to decide which brand to choose.
Luckily, the new 2018 F150 has a few tricks up its sleeve to help you make that decision.
With a slightly new facelift, the F150 maintains the new aluminum alloy body introduced in 2015. On certain configurations it can save up to 700 in weight. To help move that along, Ford has brought an updated 3.5L ecoboost to the table, making it still to this day the only manufactures to use turbos in a pickup. There is also word they are releasing a diesel engine for the half tonne in the coming year.
If you venture into the dark parts of the internet you may find forum after forum bashing the turbo and calling them unreliable. It’s difficult to take this as go...
In my adventure to the higher end of the auto industry,
I find it difficult to put my finger on this one because of my inexperience. I used to ignore BMW because there line up is confusing and they're not particularly attractive. However, in the past year or so I have begun to notice the subtle beauty that is BMW. The styling isn't mad or threatening. It's more of an elegant aggression that has been moulded into leather, steel, and a dash of carbon fibre.
The 435i comes with a 320HP 3.0-liter inline-six that comes in either manual or automatic, rear or all-wheel drive (XDrive). I was fortunate enough to get my hands on the manual, XDrive variant. It was also equipped with the M Sports package which includes 18-inch wheels, sport seats, M sp...
